* Asilomar

This one is an EA Makeover of the rather hideous and tasteless three bedroom home of *The Single Moms*. It took me aaaaages to do because I furnished it... which bored me shitless, so don't expect another furnished one any time soon - I have a life.

I only used a couple of items from the store and one third party cc (a replacement texture).... I don't why I didn't use more store content, I have it and had planned to use it but wanted this to be as downloader friendly as possible - which is probably why I didn't enjoy doing this one after the intial spurt of creativity. I got bogged down with what *you* want, instead of what *I* want... I'm basically a very selfish person so don't expect such consideration again - it's just no fun :P

I've altered the interior floor plan completely, and the building itself had only a minor adjustment front and rear. It still has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, but now also has a utility room, open plan living, a pool, patios, bbq area etc. There's a neat little driveway to the side with a 4 by 4 and a couple of bicycles, and I've made sure to include all the necessary requirements for *The Single Moms* to move right back in... however, the house is now waaaay out of their price range, so you'll have to use the FreeRealEstate Cheat.

  3. Lily that's a really fantastic makeover, I especially love the backyard! I've been too afraid to even go near this house for a makeover (too much work/hard for me) so I'm super happy you decided to share :). Hehe I also hate decorating for just EA stuff, hence why my rooms all look the same in my makeovers! (now my completely full CC homes are another story).

    Thanks!

  4. I'm glad you like this one, Jo - thankyou! I almost walked away from it too, but I really want to play *The Single Moms* and my OCD won't allow me to do it in a house that I haven't arranged/built myself *rolls eyes*. I still haven't played Bridgeport, I'm too busy redecorating what we already have!

  5. DARN!!!
    Holy smokes... that place does look GREAT now!
    Love the stone/wood walls and your use of half walls around the stairs. Cool idea... must nab!

    ""I furnished it... which bored me shitless"" -

    Tell me about it! Furnishing takes ages longer in S3 than it ever did in S2, doesn't it?
    Bores me straight out of my mind!!!

  6. Nengi my love, thankyou! You're dead right - all the extra choices for pattern and colour make furnishing Sims 3 a sodding nightmare. I'm NEVER happy with the finished result because I know I can change it... and do!

  13. Thanks, Bunny - I'm glad you like it - it must have been about my fifth go around with this one. I've attempted it loads of times but never got further than demolishing all the furnishings etc, before I got stumped!
