I'm not going to make a big song and dance about returning to this blog after a couple of years absence - I have been bumbling around the Sims Community, mostly quietly, for the past 10 months or so and have been posting on my tumblr blog The Other Sim Antics. It's a great community, incredibly creative and warm, but I miss my Blogger Blog and those of you that have somehow managed to find your way back here, regardless of it's lack of updates.

I've been building lots and sharing them again, not many - just one or two, and I'm going to share them here as well and hope that you enjoy them as much as you have my other uploads over the years. Remember, you're not allowed to tell me if you don't like them. It's in the RULZ.

I don't currently have any plans to purchase or acquire The Sims 4, by fair means or foul - it's not floating my boat at this stage - just in case you were wondering ;-)

* TTFN

I've thought long and hard about whether or not I'll play my game again - and I currently have no answer. I've not loaded it up in quite some time, and have no inclination to either. Real life ain't so bad once you give it a good go.

I felt the need to write this post to say thank you to all of you that have made playing this game a much richer experience. The simming community is amongst the biggest and best out there, and it's been a pleasure (mostly) to be a part of it. I've made a few wonderful *keeper* friends, and some great acquaintances. I've even made a few enemies... which was fun!

I won't say that I'll never play again - I just might. This blog is going to remain here - fully intact - just in case I *get the urge*.

If you're wondering where I am and what I'm doing - you can find me here, under my real name - the whole *incognito/username* thing was fun with the sims - but not so much without it. Yes. I am rolling my eyes at myself, right along with you. I've traded the sims in for my first obsession - food and cooking and EATING!

Here's where I send a huge hug to Ninoo. Because I can.

* Everything Changes

Over the past 10 years or so, I've been a member of various Simming Communities and co-owned several downloads sites, one of which was Sims 3 Musketeers. I've wanted to do my own thing for a while now, and the time is right - so I have removed all of my downloads from S3M, and they are now here, on my blog. If anything is missing, it's because I plan on redoing it at some point in the future.

You can find easily accessable links in the column on the left, that let you know where the downloads are - both Community and Residential. Where there are more than one type of *lot* to download, there is an additional label eg. Library/Art Gallery. If that's all too confusing, let me know and I'll attempt to simplify things.

Don't forget that there's more than just downloads labeled though. This is, after all, a blog :)

If anyone has any issues with my downloads, whether it's locating them, or just plain *download not working*, please let me know here (or on tumblr), somewhere - and I'll do what I can to help.

* Minus One

Just a quick note to let people know that I have resigned as admin/top dog at The Sims Daily. 

It was fun while it lasted and I want to reassure friends and enemies alike - yes, I have enemies (they even send me nasty little PMs from time to time.. can you imagine???!!!???... oh the shame of finally understanding that not everyone is as wonderful as me) - that I was not pushed out or asked to leave - in fact it's not what the rest of the team wanted, it's what I wanted. 

I am far happier bimbling about all over the shot, doing my own thing, than I am having to deal with the almost daily crisis that crop up when you're trying to please all of the people, all of the time. I'm not a people pleaser, so you can imagine just how often I would get my knickers in a twist!!!

Thankyou to all the people that make/have made the forum such a special place to spend time, and although I am no longer admin, I promise I will continue to turn up and *try the patience of a saint*, on a regular basis.

* The Other Sim Antics

I love taking random pictures of my sims and sim landscapes etc - that don't really fit in with what i want here, at my blog. So yesterday I opened a tumblr (or Simblr... it's all in the perspective) account. Other people tend to post all over the shot, and though I've felt a little guilty in the past, about sticking my images all over various forums.... I now only really participate in the one forum - so I reckon I can go for it and spam the living daylights out of various spots, with images from my game.

I shall continue to use my blog for stories and random simming, plus somewhere to say "Hey, look what I did... now go download it!", but now I have somehwere to stick stuff without explanation.

* Twinbrook and Twallan

Even though I finished this lot some time ago, I hadn't play tested it. Good job I did, as Sims were standing in the midst of a tree trunk to BBQ hotdogs, and there was an orderly queue forming around the one BBQ I'd bothered to add - this has all been rectified and it's now available to download at the bottom of this page.
I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew with Twinbrook - I've decided to rebuild and remodel the entire neighbourhood, including all of the residential lots, some of which are already available at S3M.

* Our brand new forum!

We'd like to cordially invite any and all sim players who love to chat about the game, post pictures, tell stories and generally share absolutely everything they do with their games... to come along to The Sims Daily forum, and join in!

We're an incredibly informal group of people, so you won't find too much in the way of rules and regulations - just somewhere comfy to pull up a chair and share your love of the Sims, with like minded people.

Your hosts/playmates/dogsbodies in this endeavour are Webbymom, Darkshines, Deelightful, Simcastic, Sebausten and ME!

The forum caters to Sims 2, Sims 3 and Sims Medieval... and we even have a pub... The Dog and Duck, where you can chat about your real lives whilst supping a *virtual* glass of wine or pint of Guiness, whatever suits your fancy (of course, we have no clue if you're actually imbibing and typing (or attempting to) at the same time, so dig out !).

We're just starting out, so come join in the fun and help to make our forum, your forum!

* If I only had a heart...

Meet Jed. You'll never see him again after this image, I deleted him. Jed was purchased by Fatty Simovitch with her reward points for going platinum on her lifetime wish (I forget what it was - a thousand best friends or something). I thought he might add an element of interest to my game. Jed survived long enough for me to build and decorate a room for him... eat some trash... attempt to sleep in Betty's bed... and visit the local junk yard.

* Project Mojo.

I am trying very hard to lure my mojo back - and not with deep fried doughnuts. I figured I should probably have a go at something I haven't done before and maybe it'd spark my interest in the game again and my real life could go play with the traffic. So I thought I'd have a go at building on a slope. Honestly, I didn't think it would be that hard - but my dyspraxia kicked in big style to a point where I couldn't follow a video tute that I found... at all!

It all went incredibly wrong whilst I leveled this and straightened that and lowered the bit over there and raised the bit over here... if you know me at all.... you know that although I have the attention span of a rabid gnat - I'm also incredibly stubborn and don't understand the meaning of the word "can't".

But I really couldn't...

* Has anyone seen my mojo?

I think I may have lost it (my mojo)... if I ever had it. I'm bored shitless with my game at the moment and have not loaded it since before I purchased Sims Medieval... haven't loaded that either - so it's not a distracted by another game thing... more of an oh f*ck, what now? thing. I don't want to build, don't want to decorate and don't want to play... and yet... I want to do all three.

I've considered going through my custom content files and adding more to my game, just to give me something different to look at whilst playing/building/decorating... but that would require more effort than I currently have in my one remaining brain cell - so that's currently a *no no*.

I even downloaded and installed Mat - Matous - Matouskee??? Mat...bugger... a cc world by the blokey that created Mariner's Reach... that got deleted almost instantly. No reason, other than my mild OCD kicked in and said "Oh My F*cking God... How Many Trees??????"

So... I'm at a complete loss. If anyone should find my mojo (it's pink with purple spots and has a tendency to yell random swear words at passing strangers... yes... my mojo has no colour co-ordination and verbal tourettes) could you please return it to me - here. Oh, and be careful not to put your fingers near it's mouth - the little bastard bites.

* Smash & Grab

I've caved.... I can't do the *no CC* thing any... more. I am currently in the midst of copying and pasting urls from TSR so that I can do a smash and grab tomorrow on a 24 hour downloading spree (I have Kudos points and I'm not afraid to use them). I'm going to slither through Sims Lulamai.... mash my way through MangoSims and annihilate ATS3... to name but a few.

Should you come across a gibbering wreck muttering "Mine all mine" or even, predictably - "My precioussssssssssssssssss"... just save us both any embarassment and look away.

I will be wearing my big pants (knickers to you) in case I run out of pockets.
